So, one by one, the pieces of each flagstone were laid out.
With Smiley's help, expertise, and the proper tools, the gravel and sand were leveled out and we begin to lay down each flagstones. It was quite time consuming since we wanted to keep the gap tight and being "perfectionists" required extra time. Few more weekends went by... (now looking back, all the shoveling, digging, lifting and especially kneeling down on the flagstones=knee injury :-( )
I would say out of the entire project, the fire ring was the easiest. However, trying to get it leveled was quite painful..especially in the heat.
